About Us

I was a teacher for a little over 20 years. One day on the way to a game of football a friend suggested l open a patchwork shop. I’d always thought l’d love to work for myself. Didn’t watch much of the game that day but by the time we got home l put my ideas to Ray. That night we decided to open Mrs Martin’s Quilt Shop. We opened on March 21st, 2004. After 7 1/ 2 years we relocated Mrs Martin’s to our home.

There’s always something going on…..

We have a number of Sewing Circles, both day and evening, throughout the week.

There are also a variety of classes suitable for beginners through to the more experienced. Check the newsletter each term to see what’s on offer.

Quilt til you Wilt happens 4 times a year. We have an early dinner and then stitch til late.

Quilt Camp is held each year at The Log Cabin Ranch in Monbulk. A weekend of great food, great company and lots of fun. We even squeeze in a little stitching.

We run the Monbulk Community Quilt Show in March each year. All the money we raise from the show is donated to the Monbulk CFA.

Out and About.....

We like to take Mrs Martin’s Quilt Shop to small quilt shows. Check our Noticeboard on the blog to find out where we’re visiting next. If you would like us to visit you feel free to make contact.

I can’t resist…..

Reproduction fabrics, those yummy muddy colours and warm country colours.

Orders.....

I do my best to post orders on the day l receive them. If there is a problem l will contact you. Standard Australia Post rates are charged, no handling fees. Orders are not registered unless you make the request when you place your order. This will cost you a little more.
